Warriors select Rysavy in 2020 CHL Import Draft

With the 6th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2020 CHL Import Draft, the Moose Jaw Warriors selected forward Martin Rysavy.

Rysavy, 6’2”, 203lbs, is from Prerov, Czech Republic and played last season with HC Vitkovice U20 (DHL), in 20 games he had seven goals, 12 assists, and 19 points.  He also played with HC Vitkovice U16 and had six goals, six assists, and 12 points in five games.  In 2018 – 2019 he played with HC Prerov U19 and had 12 goals, 13 assists, and 25 points in 36 games.

Rysavy was the Captain of the Czech Republic team at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, in six games he had three goals, two assists, and five points and led the Czech Republic to a bronze medal.
