Moose Jaw Warriors

Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Association and the Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce a renewed partnership and sponsorship which sees the Midget AAA program rebranded as the Moose Jaw AAA Warriors.

“On behalf of the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Association, we are extremely excited to be part of this new partnership with the Moose Jaw Warriors Hockey Club. The Warriors are an essential part of this community and it only makes sense for our minor hockey association to be working closely with the Warriors,” said Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Association President Patrick Boyle.

“Rebranding our Midget AAA club into the Warriors is the first major step in that direction. We are extremely lucky to have such a world-class organization like the Warriors in our city, and we as an association, want to create that same mentality where we are developing highly skilled players but even better young people who contribute positively to our community,” Boyle added.

Along with the rebranding of the AAA Warriors, the Moose Jaw Warriors will work with Minor Hockey in a mentorship and advisory role with the AAA Warriors effective immediately.

“On behalf of the Warriors Board of Directors and our entire organization, we are very pleased to enter into this partnership with Moose Jaw Minor Hockey and the newly branded AAA Warriors,” said Warriors General Manager Alan Millar.  “We are excited that the young men representing Moose Jaw in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League will now be carrying the Warriors name and wearing Warriors colours.”

“We also look forward to our new relationship in helping the AAA Warriors in their quest for a Telus Cup national championship. Moose Jaw has the young talent, the facilities, and the community to be one of the top AAA Midget programs in western Canada,” Millar added.  “Our team believes the development of young people on and off the ice and the development of our coaches is essential throughout our minor hockey system. We look forward to building our relationship with Moose Jaw Minor Hockey as we enter into this important new partnership”

In addition, the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey is excited to announce that Jeremy Ebbett has been named the AAA Warriors Team Manager, while Carter Davis, Carter Smith, and Evan Schwabe have been named Assistant Coaches.

“Jeremy Ebbett is a well-known hockey mind who knows the AAA league very well and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team,” said Boyle on the addition of Ebbett has Team Manager.  “He will play a crucial role in managing the team’s operations so that Trevor can focus on the on-ice portion as we work to build Moose Jaw as an elite hockey centre in Saskatchewan.”

“I’m really looking forward to working with these guys, all three are very knowledgeable and have a passion for the game,” commented AAA Warriors Head Coach Trevor Weisgerber on Smith, Davis, and Schwabe joining his staff.  “Our goal is to make these young men better every day on and off the ice, and I think it’s a great start having these three on board.”

The AAA Warriors recently held their 2019 Spring Camp and will now prepare for the 2019-2020 Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League regular season.
