Warriors Acquire Burke From Lethbridge

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the acquisition of 19-year-old forward Brayden Burke from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 18-year-old Ryan Bowen, a 2nd round pick in 2017, and a conditional pick in 2019.

Burke, 5’10”, 170lbs, is from Edmonton, Alberta and in his third full season in the WHL.  In 15 games this season he has four goals and 23 points, his 19 assists currently ranks 2nd in the WHL and he is tied for 8th in league scoring.  Last season Burke had 27 goals and 109 points in 72 games, he finished 3rd in league scoring and was tied for 1st with 82 assists.  He has played in 131 WHL regular season games and has 39 goals, 127 assists, and 166 points.

Burke is expected to make his Warriors debut Thursday when they take on the Regina Pats at Mosaic Place.
