Zawatsky moves east on TransCanada to Moose Jaw

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the acquisition of 19-year-old forward Alec Zawatsky from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for 18-year-old Tyler Smithies, a 4th round pick in 2020, and a 5th round pick in 2021.

Zawatsky, 5’8”, 165lbs, is from Yorkton and led the Broncos in scoring this season with 13 goals, 13 assists, and 26 points in 39 games.  Zawatsky has played 82 WHL games with the Broncos and Saskatoon Blades and has 16 goals, 18 assists, and 34 points.

Zawatsky is expected to make his debut Friday when the Warriors host the Seattle Thunderbirds at Mosaic Place.
