Warriors & Hitmen make blockbuster deal

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that the team has acquired forward Ryder Korczak (2002), defenceman Vladislav Yeryomenko (1999), a 1st round pick in 2019 (11th overall), a conditional 3rd round pick in 2020, and a 2nd round pick 2021 from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for defenceman Jett Woo (2000).

Korczak, RC, 5’10”, 160lbs, is from Yorkton and had eight goals, seven assists, and 15 points in 50 regular season games in his rookie season with the Calgary Hitmen in 2018-2019.  In the 2019 WHL Playoffs, he had two goals, three assists, and five points in 11 games.

Korczak was selected by the Hitmen in the 2nd round, 29th overall, at the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.  In 2017-2018 he played midget AAA with Yorkton (SMAAAHL) and had 12 goals, 22 assists, and 34 points in 42 games.  In 2016-2017 he had 27 goals, 56 assists, and 83 points in 30 games playing bantam with Yorkton (SBAAL).

Vladislav Yeryomenko, RD, 6’0”, 187lbs, is from Vitebsk, Belarus.  Last season with the Hitmen he had seven goals, 26 assist, and 33 points in 63 games.  In the 2019 WHL Playoffs, he had two goals and five points in 11 games.

Yeryomenko was selected by the Nashville Predators in the 5th round, 151st overall, at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.  In 2017-208 with the Hitmen, he had 13 goals, 28 assists, and 41 points in 63 games.
