General Manager Alan Millar also announced a trade that saw the team acquire forward Nick Bowman (2000) and a 6th round pick in 2018 from the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for forward Vince Loschiavo (1998).
Bowman, 6’0”, 185lbs, is from Sherwood Park, Alberta and was originally drafted by Edmonton in the 6th round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. In 56 games last season with the Oil Kings he had six goals, six assists, and 12 points. In 117 WHL games he has 13 goals, 13 assists, and 26 points.
“First off, I’d like to thank Vince Loschiavo for his time as a Warrior and wish him the best in his 20-year-old season with the Oil Kings,” said Millar. “Nick Bowman is a solid, honest, smart player who had a good year in the league as a 16-year-old and we believe he’ll benefit from a new opportunity with our hockey club.”
